Social Impact Capitalism in Action
Where purpose meets profit — a governing principle for businesses that create genuine value for their communities, and the real initiatives bringing it to life.
The Core Belief
Social Impact Capitalism is the belief that the best businesses create genuine value for their communities — and that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools for economic empowerment available to working families. It is not charity. It is not philanthropy. It is a governing principle: every dollar of investment should generate both financial return and measurable social impact.
We believe that companies should serve a greater purpose than profit alone. Guided by the principles of Purpose with Profit — where success is measured not only by financial return but also by community impact — we work to build businesses that uplift people, strengthen communities, and create lasting value for future generations.
There is a line from a book that captures everything we stand for: "It's expensive to be poor." We think that's a crime in society, and we're trying to change it.
What Guides Us
Purpose with Profit
Business exists to serve a purpose. Profit is the mechanism that sustains the mission — not the mission itself.
The Village Philosophy
It takes a vibrant village to make an amazing child. We are building multigenerational legacy.
Wisdom Giants
Every team member is a subject matter expert — best practice junkies and best practice innovators.
Regenerative Impact
We don't just avoid harm — we actively regenerate. Our businesses strengthen the communities they operate in.
The Framework
The SIC Matrix
Every organization exists somewhere on the matrix of Economic Engine Strength versus Purpose Alignment. Our goal is the Honeybee Zone.
The Martyr
High purpose, weak economic engine. Good intentions without sustainability.
The Honeybee Zone
Thriving economic engine AND deep purpose alignment. Like the honeybee, sustaining itself while pollinating everything around it.
Deadwood
No engine, no purpose. Stagnation.
The SOB
Strong economic engine, no purpose alignment. Profit without conscience.
The Pillars
Purpose with Profit
Business exists to serve a purpose. Profit is the mechanism that sustains the mission — not the mission itself. This is our default operating framework. When guided by purpose, business can truly be a force for good.
The Latimer Douglas Protocol
An operating system for integrity that runs beneath the surface of a business, embedding ethical governance directly into operations. It ensures that every decision passes through a filter of honesty, trust, and community benefit.
Blue Seal Certification
The Blue Seal is our integrity certification mark for organizations that demonstrate they operate in the Honeybee Zone. It requires ethical governance, community impact measurement, and adherence to the Latimer Douglas Protocol. Do Good. Give Back.
Ethics Frameworks
Three configurable modes: Purpose with Profit (social impact first — our default), Profit with Purpose (financial viability with social awareness), and Profit with Profit (pure financial optimization — used rarely).
The 10% Commitment
A portion of all revenue flows to the Business as a Force for Good Foundation, funding community programs, Youth Camp Paradise, and initiatives that create lasting impact for future generations.
Regenerative Impact
We don't just avoid harm — we actively regenerate. Our businesses strengthen the communities they operate in, creating lasting positive change that compounds over generations.
Who We Solve For
At the heart of everything we do is a person we call "Ruby Red." She is the 35-to-45-year-old mother of two, sitting at the kitchen table trying to figure out how to make her finances stretch until the next payday. She is the Chief Financial Officer of her household, making impossible decisions every day: Does she put something back in the grocery line? Does she let the kids go to the extracurricular event that costs thirty dollars? How does she pay for the flat tire on the car outside?
She is part of the working poor — left out and left behind, unbanked and underbanked. She navigates three difficult worlds every day: the political world, the bureaucratic world, and the world of greedy capitalism. Our superpower with her is empathy, and we practice it with a sense of "there but for the grace of God go I."
If we get it right for Ruby Red, we get it right for everybody else. She is our North Star client — the person every decision is measured against.

"It's expensive to be poor. We think that's a crime in society, and we're trying to change it."
